Social Media Conversion
You can use your unique URL to add to a social media post but to maximise the performance, it’s best practice to convert the video to match social media requirements.
There are big benefits to publishing videos “natively” to each platform — that is, videos uploaded directly to the platform rather than linked to or embedded. For example, Facebook tends to favour videos that are uploaded natively to its platform due to algorithms in place. Features like auto-play for native videos also help with increased view rates and overall engagement.
Social media is normally viewed in portrait mode on a smartphone, so classic landscape/widescreen video (16:9) footage can look small. Square video (1:1) takes up 78% more real estate in a person’s mobile newsfeed than does landscape video (16:9)
This is ideal for many industries, but square video is too extreme for property interiors as it cuts off too much of a room. The optimum aspect ratio is 4:3.
To achieve this we re-edit the film by re-aligning graphic, logos and text into the ‘safe area’ of the new 4:3 aspect ratio.
Sharper 60 seconds edit
The maximum video limit for Instagram is 60 seconds. This is also a great length for Facebook posts and ads. To achieve this we re-cut the original footage to produce a more succinct version of the film without losing any important features.
